Vascular & Pigmented Lesion Removal

The severity of vascular and pigmented lesions -- benign or malignant -- is something that should be determined by a board-certified dermatologist. These can sometimes be early warning signs for skin cancer.

What Are Vascular Lesions?

Vascular lesions are common abnormalities of the skin, more commonly known as birthmarks. There are three major categories of vascular lesions: Vascular Malformations and Pyogenic Granulomas.

What Are Pigmented Lesions?

Pigmented lesions can include freckles, lentigines, seborrhic keratosis, skin tags, nevus mole, and brown spots. These skin spots and growths are caused by melanocyte cells in the skin. Melanocytes are the cells that produce melanin, the substance that gives color (pigment) to the skin.
